RICHMOND, Mich. -- The Richmond Blue Devils bounced back from a difficult loss early in the week to defeat Imlay City this past Friday, 54-29. The Blue Devils turned to their defense, holding the visiting Spartans to 6 in the first quarter and 6 in the half. The shutout in the second quarter was the fourth time this season the Blue Devils have held an opponent scoreless for an entire period. In addition, the Blue Devils held Imlay City to just 24% shooting, and forced 14 turnovers.

Josh Queen led the hosts with 14 points, and senior Matt Schwab scored 10. Chris Schroudt grabbed seven rebounds to go along with nine points. The Blue Devils are off this Tuesday, and travel to Almont this Friday, where they have not won in four years. Earlier this season, the Devils defeated Almont at home, 63-59. Game time is slated for 7:30, after the varsity girls game.
