The Program has announced several changes to the coaching staff. The most notable change is at the JV level, where John Bearwolf returns after a year on the girls basketball staff. Mike Pearson has returned to the freshmen level to make room for Coach Baerwolf. "We are really excited about these moves", explained Coach Barnes recently. " I feel we have two very effective coaches at these levels. They are both very committed to the progress of the program, and they are very passionate about teaching and working with our student-athletes."

Joining Bearwolf at the JV level will be Josh Fuller, a St. Clair HS and Central Michigan graduate entering his first year of coaching. Coach Fuller's primary duties will be working with the perimeter players as well as some scouting responsibilities. Allan Rucker returns to the freshmen level to work with Coach Pearson, and he will continue to be instrumental in the day-to-day development of that team. The other addition is James Bruinsma, a student assistant coach the last few years, who moves into an assistant coach’s role with the 7th grade team.

At this time, Barnes has reported the following losses from last year's staff: Coach Lamont will be taking a position with the girls basketball staff, and Coach Rumph (JV) will be focusing on his career and family. "We are really sad to lose these great men," added Barnes. "Anytime you lose such great people with such great character from your staff, it hurts. That being said, we are very supportive of these coaches and the directions they have taken at this time".
