Using a 7-0 run to open the third quarter, and some timely free throw shooting late in the game, Richmond defeated the Chiefs of Capac 37-32, to improve their record to 12-2 overall, and 8-1 in the BWAC.

The first half ended with a 6-0 Capac run that saw the Chiefs take a 22-16 lead into halftime. Richmond opened the second half by scoring the game's first seven points to take a 25-22 lead. Capac trailed the rest of the game. Richmond led 30-29 entering the fourth quarter, and after a Capac traveling violation, the Blue Devils decided to hold the ball at center court and wait for Capac to abort their zone defense. Capac decided to watch the game slowly tick away, and action resumed with about 3:30 to play. Mario Yamarino scored on the ensuing possession, and the Blue Devils remained in command until the final buzzer.

With the loss, Capac saw it's chances at a BWAC Championship slip away. While Richmond and Armada sit tied atop the conference, Capac slipped into second place with a 5-4 record. Each team has 5 conference games remaining.
