Staff Bios

John Baerwolf
Intramural Director, Grades 4-6

Coach Baerwolf enters his fourth season as a member of the basketball staff, and his fourth year of heading up the intramural program. "Coach Barnes has allowed me the opportunity to be a part of something special here, and I truly appreciate that,” explained Coach Baerwolf.

"John has been with us four years now, and he has really established himself as an integral part of our staff", said Coach Barnes when asked about Baerwolf. “He does an outstanding job with our feeder system. He is really the heart and soul of our program, and he does an excellent job of teaching fundamentals to our kids”.

In addition to his duties as the intramural director, Coach Baerwolf will serve as the Varsity Girls assistant coach this winter. "I really enjoy my involvement with the younger kids", explained Coach Baerwolf. "It is refreshing and rewarding to see them improve their skills and passion for the game".

Coach Baerwolf is a graduate of Sandusky High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He also works with the girls basketball program in the role of seventh grade coach. During the 2007-2008 season, Coach served as the junior varsity coach. Before that, Coach Baerwolf was a varsity assistant coach in 2006-2007. With the varsity team, Coach Baerwolf was responsible for assisting with practice and game preparation and planning, and was instrumental in the development of the program's post players.

Coach is also a member of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM). John Baerwolf resides in Richmond with his daughter Karly.
