John Baerwolf
Head Coach - Junior Varsity Basketball

Coach Baerwolf enters his fifth season as a member of the basketball staff. After a year spent helping Coach Abrego and the girls basketball program, Coach Baerwolf returns to his position as the Head Coach at the JV level. "Coach Barnes has allowed me the opportunity to be a part of something special here, and I truly appreciate that,” explained Coach Baerwolf.

"We are really excited to have John back. He has proven the ability to get players ready for the varsity level,” said Coach Barnes when asked about Baerwolf. In addition to his JV duties, Coach Baerwolf will continue in his role as the programs Intramural Director (grades 4-6). “He does an outstanding job with our feeder system. He is really the heart and soul of our program, and he does an excellent job of teaching fundamentals to our kids”. "I really enjoy my involvement with the younger kids", explained Coach Baerwolf. "It is refreshing and rewarding to see them improve their skills and passion for the game".

Coach Baerwolf is a graduate of Sandusky High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Before his stint as JV Coach , Coach Baerwolf was a varsity assistant coach in 2006-2007. With the varsity team, Coach Baerwolf was responsible for assisting with practice and game preparation and planning, and was instrumental in the development of the program's post players.

Coach is also a member of the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan (BCAM). John Baerwolf resides in Richmond.
