Nick Failla
6th Grade Boys Basketball - Coach

Coach Failla is entering his third season as a member of the Richmond Basketball Program. Coach Failla has a great love for coaching and teaching kids, and he is pleased to bring his coaching skills to his true passion, the basketball program.

Last season Coach Failla guided the sixth grade team in the second season of the Blue Water Basketball League. Along with the help of assistant Coach Fistler and a supportive group of parents the sixth grade team finished with a successful season and shows great potential for the 2009-2010 season.

Coach Failla looks forward to helping the boys to improve their rebounding and defensive skills in the coming season as well as seeing that the team continues to grow in the format that drives a successful Richmond basketball program.

Basketball has been part of Coach Failla’s life since 5th grade. The sometimes overzealous commitment to the game led to many outdoor games during the winter months in northern Michigan. “The only bonus to playing basketball in three feet of snow is your ability to dunk!”

Continuing education will be part of Coach Failla’s mantra with regards to the Richmond basketball program. His intentions are to take full advantage of the learning opportunities provided by Coach Barnes and the rest of the coaching staff.

Coach Failla earned an undergraduate degree from Adrian College and attended Graduate School at the University of Michigan. Currently he is the President of Premier Consulting innovations and is a Richmond resident.
