John Mullin
Men's Basketball - Sports Information / Electroinc Media Coordinator

John Mullin enters his fourth season of involvement with Richmond Basketball this year. As a student teacher with Richmond High School in 2006, Mullin became involved as an assistant to the basketball program. Through his work as a statistician and web designer, Mullin was given the role of Electronic Media Coordinator during the 2007-08 season.

Mullin's experience in basketball stems back to his involvement at Central Michigan University, where he was a broadcaster of CMU Women's Basketball (NCAA 1-A) for six seasons. During that span, Mullin was also a radio play-by-play announcer for Shepherd High School varsity football, CMU Baseball, CMU Softball and CMU Football. He was also the creator and host of Sportszone, a multi-award winning show that was honored by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters in 2004. During his tenure with CMU, Mullin also rose to the ranks of Station Manager of WMHW-FM Mount Pleasant, where he shared the 2005 Student Service Award.

Mullin graduated CMU in 2006 with a degree in Secondary Education (English major, Mathematics minor). In addition to his basketball work for Richmond, he was also a statistician for Richmond Varsity Football and the Junior Varsity Tennis head coach during the 2006-07 campaigns.

Mullin left lower Michigan in August of 2007 to persue a teaching career. He is currently a mathematics teacher at Pahrump Valley High School in Pahrump, NV. Mullin is now the Student Council advisor at PVHS, as well as the faculty advisor of the Video Game club.

His passion for sports continues even with his busy school schedule -- he has been a hockey referee for eleven years, an avid Detroit Red Wings fan, and is the is founder and head referee of the Pahrump Valley Flag Football League, which begins play in October of 2009.
