Staff Bios
Nick Yelencich
8th Grade Boys' Basketball Coach

Coach Yelencich is a 1999 graduate of Richmond High School. He is entering his tenth year as a member of the basketball staff, all at the middle school. “I just love it”, explains Coach Yelencich. “I can’t explain how much it means to me, to be a part of this program. I hope our players here at the middle school recognize what a special experience it is. There really is nothing like it.”

When Coach Barnes arrived at Richmond in the spring of 2000, one of his first hires was Yelencich. “I was really impressed with Nick right away”, explains Barnes. “It was easy to see how passionate he was about coaching. My favorite part about Nick is the unique perspective he brings to the middle school level. He is great for our young men at that age.”

Nick is a lifelong Richmond resident and lives with his lovely wife Heather, their daughter Lily, and their son Gavin.
